The Long awaited Sweeney Todd review

Before I review this DVD I must say that is not for kids. I know what you are thinking, but you are a kid. True, But I am use to the gore and the psychological thrillers known as Tim Burton films. I had to wait along time to see this movie. It was so worth it.

It's a was a spooktacular thrill ride of mystery and deceit with more than a few murders along the way. All while the characters sung through their twisted, tormented lives. Johnny Depp was brilliantly spectacular as playing a happily decapitating barber. Alan Rickman was convincing as the villain who stole everything Sweeney Todd held dear. Tim Burton's wife Helena Bonham Carter did not disappoint as the love stricken obsessed partner in crime of Sweeney Todd. Depp, Rickman and Carter are three of my favorite actors. Making this movie even more awesome.

I cannot end this review without discussing the blood, the mass amount of bright red oozing, gushing blood. While I was afraid that this part of the movie would make me hurl. It just made me want for more. For any of you who have had the pleasure of watching another Burton masterpiece Sleepy Hollow. The blood is similar to that of the famous dripping tree scene. If you can handle the gore of that movie you can handle Sweeney Todd.
I can now say that I have watched every Tim Burton movie. While the Nightmare Before Christmas is still my favorite in my Burton collection. Sweeney Todd has just become #2 barely bumping Sleepy Hollow to #3 on the list.

I must say that this movie is not for the very young or the squimish. For everyone else see this movie! Really I mean it. Go rent or buy the DVD now! Go, go now I say!
I will wait for you.

My first post and movie review, "I am Legend".

It's sad that my first post and review is a negative one. I just watched I am Legend. Being a fan of Will Smith and WB I was looking forward to it. I was majorly disappointed. It had a good story line. But it took forever to put all the pieces together through flash backs. The CGI was lame. The Zombies made me laugh instead of making me afraid. Then there was the boring ending. The best thing about this movie was the dog. Even if you are a Will Smith fan like me skip this movie and watch I am Robot instead. I hear they are making I am Legend 2. A prequel. Maybe they should have just given us the background information in the first one.Talk about a movie studio just trying to make money and running out of story ideas. Say it isn't so Warner Brothers!
Maybe my next review will be better. I am FINALLY watching Sweeney Todd. The only Tim Burton and the only DreamWorks movie that I have not seen. My mom said if I can sit through I am Legend, I can handle the blood and gore of Sweeney Todd.
I can't wait so pop the popcorn!
